Greg Clark Building were delighted to provide Byron Bay YHA with a vibrant new renovation, design and expansion to their Hostel.
With the demolition of the existing residential structure and facilities, we remained mindful of continuity of their accommodation intake whilst ensuring that the site was left both safe, operational and clean.
The renovation included excavation and building of a new basement carpark, brand new 3 level hostel wings (many with fresh, bright new private ensuited rooms), new tropical landscaping to the entire expanded complex and the full replacement of all kitchen facilities, providing a fresh ‘resort-style vibe’ user-friendly open plan for patrons to prepare meals.
The front façade as well as full reception facilities were given a completed makeover ensuring a very modern, welcoming feel.
Greg Clark Building were also able to offer the hostel improved fire safety standards and accessibility facilities throughout.
As Byron Bay YHA is committed to reducing their environmental footprint through a mix of conservation and sustainable practices and services, Greg Clark Building were able to include organic design features into the project to ensure integration into the finished product.
